How is Bartholinitis transmitted?

What is the transmission route of Bartholinitis? Bartholinitis is not a contagious disease and is not contagious. There are many causes of Bartholinitis, the most important of which is bacterial infection. What methods are used to treat Bartholinitis? This requires specific analysis of the specific problem. Only after going to the hospital for examination can a treatment plan be made. Let's listen to the expert's introduction.

The main pathogens of Bartholinitis are: Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Gonorrhea and anaerobic bacteria, etc. It usually occurs in women of childbearing age, and the Bartholin's glands are easily infected during menstruation, childbirth or sexual intercourse.

Causes of Bartholinitis:

1. During childbirth, the vagina and the outer side of the perineum may be torn, forming scars, or an incorrect episiotomy may damage the Bartholin gland duct, causing the Bartholin gland duct opening to be blocked and secretions to be retained, which may also cause Bartholin gland cysts.

2. History of unclean sexual intercourse: If the man has gonorrhea and has not been properly treated and has sex with him, the gonococci on the penis head will enter the gland through the opening of the vestibular gland duct at the vaginal opening; if you have sex during menstruation, the pathogenic bacteria in the menstrual blood can also be "pressed" into the duct opening and enter the deep part of the gland, eventually causing vestibular glanditis in women.

3. After the inflammation of acute Bartholin's gland inflammation subsides, if the gland duct is still blocked and the secretions cannot be discharged, the pus is absorbed and the fluid gradually becomes clear, a Bartholin's gland cyst is formed.

Treatment of Bartholinitis:

1. Local treatment: If an abscess has formed, it should be immediately incised and drained and a stoma should be made. The incision should be made at the thinnest part of the skin, on the inner side of the labia majora, to drain the pus. Or after fully disinfecting the vulva, use a larger needle to pierce the abscess cavity from the mucosal side and suck out the pus.

2. General treatment: In the acute stage, you should rest in bed and keep the vulva clean. You can apply cold compress locally. If you have a fever, you can drink more fluids.

3. Anti-inflammatory treatment: Select appropriate antibiotics according to the nature of the pathogen.

In my country, the incidence of Bartholinitis is very high, which seriously endangers people's health. In life, we should often encounter patients with Bartholinitis. Once you get this disease, if you don't take active and effective treatment, it will bring a lot of harm to the patient's body.
