Is it easy to get pregnant with pelvic inflammatory disease?

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common disease among women. It refers to acute inflammation of the female genitals and surrounding connective tissues, pelvic cavity, and peritoneum, which poses a great threat to women's health. So is it easy to get pregnant with pelvic inflammatory disease?

Pelvic inflammatory disease includes metritis, salpingo-oophoritis, pelvic connective tissue inflammation and pelvic peritonitis. It can occur in one or more places at the same time and is one of the common diseases in women. The fallopian tubes and ovaries are collectively called appendages, and fallopian tube inflammation often affects the adjacent ovaries.

After cesarean section, postpartum, miscarriage, gynecological surgery and unclean sexual life, bacteria entering the body may cause this inflammation. Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is mostly caused by acute inflammation. For those whose acute inflammation is not treated in time, or the treatment is not thorough, or the patient has a poor physical condition, the condition may be delayed from acute, and some may even develop chronic inflammation directly without acute process.

Women with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease generally have sticky secretions, which are not conducive to the passage of sperm. Since chronic pelvic inflammatory disease mainly manifests as bilateral salpingitis, over time, the fallopian tube opening will cause the end that receives the egg to be partially or completely locked, causing obstruction of the egg, sperm or fertilized egg, leading to infertility.
