How to treat Bartholin's gland cyst

How to treat Bartholin's gland cyst

Bartholin's gland cyst is usually caused by blockage of the glandular duct opening of the Bartholin's gland and retention of secretions. Depending on the patient's condition, temporary observation, drug treatment, surgical treatment, and attention to daily care can be adopted.

1. Temporary observation: For smaller cysts that have no symptoms, temporary observation is possible and no special treatment is required.

2. Drug treatment: For patients with Bartholin's gland cyst infection and local pain, antibiotics such as ofloxacin, metronidazole, cefaclor and other drugs can be given to inhibit the growth of pathogens and improve symptoms.

3. Surgical treatment: If the prostate gland cyst is relatively large and has obvious symptoms, surgical treatment can be considered, such as cystostomy, incision and drainage, gland resection, etc. After the operation, potassium permanganate and warm water are mixed in an appropriate proportion for sitz bath to prevent infection.

4. Daily care: During the treatment, pay attention to the hygiene of the private parts, wear loose and breathable cotton underwear to avoid friction. Avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, and eat light food. Appropriate intake of high-quality protein and vitamin-rich foods will help the recovery of the incision after surgery.
