How does pelvic inflammatory disease develop?

Pelvic inflammatory disease is mainly a pathological manifestation of decreased female immune function and inflammatory damage to pelvic tissue caused by bacteria.

If a woman is weak and has low immunity, she may be infected by various pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, anaerobic bacteria, etc. The number of pathogens entering the body is relatively large, and the body's immune response cannot resist the bacteria that invade the body, which may cause bacteria to grow in the pelvic cavity, causing significant damage to the pelvic tissue and forming pelvic inflammatory disease. When pelvic inflammatory disease occurs, symptoms such as fever, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, weakness, increased secretions, odor, and mental depression may occur.

If pelvic inflammatory disease is confirmed, antibiotics such as piperacillin sodium tazobactam injection, moxifloxacin injection, and ornidazole injection can be used for treatment under the guidance of a gynecologist or obstetrician. Sensitive drugs can also be selected for treatment based on the results of bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests.
