How to relieve dysmenorrhea

How to relieve dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea refers to lower abdominal pain or other discomfort before, during, or after menstruation. Severe symptoms may affect life. Common causes of dysmenorrhea are genetic factors, mental stress, and endocrine disorders. If your girlfriend has dysmenorrhea, you can take measures such as keeping warm, comforting, and taking medicine to relieve the symptoms.

1. Keep warm: Wear loose, comfortable and warm clothes. If the room temperature is low, you can take measures to raise the temperature such as heating and air conditioning. You can also place high-temperature materials such as electric warmers and hot water bottles on the lower abdomen to raise the local temperature. Keeping warm can relieve uterine spasms and reduce pain.

2. Comfort: Dysmenorrhea usually causes irritability, tension, anxiety, etc. You can use kind words to comfort and give more care to relieve the other person's discomfort.

3. Medication: If the symptoms are severe and do not improve with the general treatments mentioned above, medication is necessary. Commonly used medications include ibuprofen tablets, diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets, acetaminophen tablets, etc. All need to be used as prescribed by a doctor.

You can also take acupuncture, massage, infrared irradiation and other methods to relieve dysmenorrhea under the guidance of professional doctors. If the pain symptoms are more severe, you can go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital and take appropriate relief measures with the help of the doctor.
