How to self-diagnose whether you are approaching menopause

The way to judge whether you have menopause is by age. Generally speaking, the age of menopause is between 45 and 55 years old. If you have not reached menopause after the age of 55, it is called delayed menopause. After the age of 45, if the menstrual cycle is prolonged, or if there is amenorrhea, if you have not had menstruation for more than six months, you may have entered perimenopause. If you are in menopause, you generally do not have menstruation, and amenorrhea lasts for more than one year. In the end, you still need to undergo an endocrine examination to determine your ovarian function. If the ovarian function has indeed declined significantly, there is no ovulation, and the hormone level has dropped significantly, it means that you have indeed reached menopause.

For women after the age of 40, especially after the age of 45, their lives enter a new stage, called perimenopause. At this time, the female ovarian function, including the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, will decline significantly, and menstruation will undergo some changes. Her body's feelings and emotions will also change accordingly.

Therefore, for these women, they can make (judgment) based on the changes in their menstruation. Some women may suddenly experience hot flashes, sweating, and other symptoms of autonomic nervous system disorders, which can also indirectly indicate that they have entered perimenopause.
