Does cervical erosion need treatment? Cervical erosion is a common disease among women of childbearing age. More than half of women who visit the gynecology department have this disease. The main cause of the disease is that after childbirth or miscarriage, artificial abortion, curettage and other gynecological surgeries, different degrees of cervical lacerations are caused, which reduces the immunity of local cervical tissues and opens the door for pathogens. Due to the invasion of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens, inflammation occurs, local secretions increase, and the cervix is stimulated by long-term inflammatory stimulation, which causes cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is the main manifestation of cervicitis, which may have symptoms such as abnormal leucorrhea, contact bleeding or irregular vaginal bleeding. The leucorrhea caused by inflammation is sticky and purulent, which is not conducive to sperm passing through the cervical canal to the uterus, and can lead to infertility. The symptoms of early cervical cancer and the appearance of the lesion tissue are very similar to cervical erosion. Generally, it is impossible to distinguish them with the naked eye. They can only be distinguished by cervical scraping for cytology, colposcopy and biopsy. It can be seen that some lesions appear to be cervical erosion on the surface, but in fact they are likely to be early cervical cancer. Therefore, cervical erosion should be based on early detection and early diagnosis to take the initiative in treatment. Although cervical erosion is a common disease for married women, most women do not pay enough attention to it, especially some asymptomatic cervical erosion patients who think that they do not need treatment if they do not feel any discomfort. Can cervical erosion heal on its own? Cervical erosion cannot recover on its own. Cervical erosion is divided into 3 degrees: 1st degree, 2nd degree, and 3rd degree. If there are no clinical symptoms, it is cervical erosion 1st degree, and no treatment is needed at this time. Just observe and check regularly at any time. However, if the cervical erosion reaches 2nd and 3rd degree, it must be treated with topical medication or oral medication. Physical methods can also be used for treatment. If it is not treated, it is easy to turn into cancer. People with cervical erosion can generally use some suppositories for external treatment or do physical therapy. They can be treated with freezing, laser, cauterization or Lip knife surgery. The effect is relatively good for cervical erosion. |
