What is the reason for the high incidence of uterine fibroids in women? What are the hazards of uterine fibroids?

In today's life, the incidence of uterine fibroids is getting higher and higher. The main population of this disease is some middle-aged women. What is the reason for these women to suffer from this disease? The patient's onset factors are often not single, mainly referring to the combination of multiple reasons. The following are the causes of uterine fibroids:

Environmental factors

The environment around us also has a very important impression on our body. There are many reasons for the symptoms of uterine fibroids. In life, adverse environmental factors can also induce diseases. Uterine fibroids are a disease that is easily induced by environmental factors. Generally speaking, in industrially developed countries, the incidence of uterine fibroids in women is higher, which may be related to the high cholesterol content in the diet. In addition, ionizing radiation, asbestos and talcum powder can affect oocytes, thereby inducing uterine fibroids.

Excessive psychological pressure

Psychological stress has always been an important indicator of the severity of the disease. There are many reasons for the symptoms of uterine fibroids. At present, women's psychological stress is generally increasing in life, which is an important reason for the frequent occurrence of uterine fibroids. The causes of uterine fibroids include poor daily living habits, excessive psychological stress, long-term eating habits and other factors, which lead to excessive acidification of the body and decreased human performance, leading to kidney deficiency and liver deficiency, which in turn leads to slow metabolic circulation, ovarian diseases and endocrine disorders, decreased immune function, abnormal proliferation of ovarian tissue, uterine fibroids and even cancer.

The dangers of uterine fibroids:

1. Free myoma. Subserosal uterine myoma can twist at the pedicle, causing acute abdominal pain. If the condition is serious and surgical treatment is not performed immediately, free myoma may form due to the twisting of the tumor pedicle. Of course, the twisted myoma can also drive the entire uterus, causing axial torsion of the uterus (mainly near the internal opening of the cervical canal).

2. Adhesion or inflammation. After the subserosal uterine fibroid pedicle is twisted, intestinal adhesion will occur, and then intestinal bacteria will be infected. Inflammatory fibroids will adhere to the uterine appendages, causing suppurative inflammation. On the other hand, fibroids can also cause bacteria to invade other uterine organs, causing gynecological inflammation such as adnexitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.

3. Infertility or miscarriage. Uterine fibroids patients have uterine horn fibroids that compress the entrance of the fallopian tubes, causing the uterus to deform and hindering the implantation of the fertilized egg, ultimately leading to infertility.

4. Secondary anemia. Uterine fibroids can cause excessive menstrual bleeding. Over time, it can lead to secondary anemia and even anemic heart disease. In severe cases, patients will experience adverse symptoms such as general fatigue, pale complexion, palpitations, and shortness of breath.

5. Malignant lesions. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors, but a small number of women still cannot escape the risk of malignant changes (the rate of malignant changes is about 1%), especially elderly women. Therefore, patients with rapidly growing fibroids or postmenopausal fibroids should remain vigilant.
