How to take care of yourself after uterine fibroid surgery? What to do if you have vaginal bleeding after uterine fibroid surgery?

The important stage of surgical treatment of uterine fibroids. So, what should be paid attention to in the postoperative care of uterine fibroids? Experts point out that the postoperative care of uterine fibroids should start from four aspects: wound care, vaginal bleeding care, daily life care and nutritional care.

1. Daily life care. Patients should maintain a comfortable daily life after surgery and can do some light exercise to facilitate physical recovery. For patients who have undergone laparoscopic fallopian tube surgery and laparoscopic ovarian surgery, they should basically resume their normal work and rest habits about two weeks after surgery. For patients who have undergone total hysterectomy, in addition to avoiding riding a bicycle, horseback riding, sitting for a long time, etc. within two weeks after surgery, they should also avoid riding a bicycle, horseback riding, sitting for a long time, etc.

2. Vaginal bleeding care. It is normal for patients to have less vaginal bleeding after surgery, but if vaginal bleeding lasts for more than two weeks, you should consult a doctor to see if there is anything abnormal.

3. Nutritional care. Patients should drink more water after surgery to replenish the fluid loss during surgery. Since protein is needed for wound healing, high-protein foods should be consumed to accelerate wound healing and irritating foods should be avoided to cause gastrointestinal discomfort.

4. Wound care. After returning home, the patient must pay attention to whether the wound is red, swollen, hot or painful every day to prevent infection and inflammation
