What is the impact of cervical erosion on women's lives? What are the hazards of cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease. In the past, the incidence was statistically women aged 35 to 50. However, clinical statistics in recent years show that the incidence of cervical erosion is as high as 90% among young women aged 17 to 23. Cervical erosion is getting younger and younger, and young women should pay enough attention to it. Cervical erosion is not an independent disease, but a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, which is caused by papillomavirus infection. After cervical erosion occurs, leucorrhea often increases and becomes thicker, and occasionally purulent and bloody leucorrhea may appear, accompanied by backache, abdominal pain, and a heavy feeling in the lower abdomen. Sexual life may also cause contact bleeding or odor.

There are four main reasons for cervical erosion:

1. Early sexual activity and too many sexual partners. Nowadays, young people generally have premarital sex. Early sexual activity, frequent changes of sexual partners, and high intensity of sexual activity (more than 4 times a week) are causes of cervical erosion that cannot be ignored.

2. Unclean sex life. Since premarital sex is mostly kept secret, young people do not have a stable source of income and cannot create a stable and clean sex life environment, which greatly increases the probability of getting sick.

3. Multiple artificial abortions. Multiple artificial abortions, diagnostic curettage, cervical dilation and other gynecological surgeries may cause cervical injury or inflammation, and eventually lead to cervical erosion.

4. Excessive cleaning. Currently, there are many female cleaning products on the market. If they are not properly selected, flushing the vagina with a high concentration of disinfectant will not only affect the growth of normal vaginal flora and reduce its ability to inhibit bacteria, but will also cause varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage and erosion.

The harm of cervical erosion:

Cause infertility

The reason why cervical erosion affects fertility is that the leucorrhea increases significantly and becomes thicker. Because it contains a large number of white blood cells, when sperm passes through the cervix, the inflammatory environment will reduce the vitality of the sperm, making it difficult for the sperm to pass through the thick leucorrhea, and the inflammatory cells will also devour a large number of sperm. This also hinders the smooth entry of sperm into the uterine cavity, ultimately reducing the chance of sperm and egg combining, thus affecting pregnancy.

Multiple complications

Long-term stimulation of cervical inflammation can cause various gynecological inflammations such as adnexitis, endometritis, and chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

Causes annoying symptoms

Patients with cervical erosion often show a significant increase in secretions, yellow color, odor, painless itching, severe purulent leucorrhea, lumbosacral pain, lower abdominal swelling or bloody leucorrhea. When the inflammation affects the bladder triangle, it can cause irritating symptoms such as urinary pain, frequent urination or difficulty urinating.
