The more serious the leukoplakia of vulva is, the more serious the symptoms are:

Stage I: Clinical manifestations include vulvar pruritus. Some patients experience obvious itching, which worsens at night. Scratching often causes swelling and ulceration, and may cause burning and other discomfort.

Stage II: The symptoms are similar to those of stage I, with keratinized hyperplasia in the affected area, slight hypopigmentation in the private skin (usually on the inside of the labia majora and labia minora), and a small rash-like appearance of spots or milky white, with a frosty white appearance on the surface.

Stage III: The skin is severely hyperplastic with keratinization and repeated shedding of the keratin layer, or scratching may cause swelling, edema, cracking, ulceration and erosion of the private parts. There may be an itchy feeling and the patient feels that the condition is obvious, but the treatment effect of this type of patient is rapid.

According to the type of vulvar leukoplakia, the disease is judged:

Hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia: The patient's labia minora and clitoris, prepuce are enlarged and thickened to varying degrees, the surface is dark brown or dark green, the clitoris has varying degrees of adhesion, the labia minora on both sides are enlarged and oval, the patient has low or no sexual desire, abnormal mood and irritability, and very few patients have slight itching. Late stage is prone to lesions.

Green moss type vulvar leukoplakia: In the early stage, the private parts are white in color, with rashes of varying sizes, itching and severe cracking; in severe cases, white flakes will fall off, the itching will be unbearable, the patient cannot sleep at night, the private parts gradually become smaller, hardened, leather-like, and raised; in the late stage, the patient will decline physically and mentally.

Atrophic vulvar leukoplakia: The labia majora and minora of the private parts shrink to varying degrees. Mild patients have no white color. After degree 2, there is mild itching and abnormal discomfort in the private parts. The private parts are overall inelastic and leathery, with varying degrees of hardening.
