Precautions after menopause

Under normal circumstances, generally speaking, women usually reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55. It is normal for menopause to occur at this age. In real life, certain factors can bring the age of menopause forward, so it is important to understand the precautions after menopause to avoid premature aging.

1. Wear several layers of clothing, preferably cotton. If you have a hot flash, take off your outer clothes. Also, drink a glass of cold water or cold juice when a hot flash starts.

2. Wear cotton pajamas and keep the bedroom cool. Put multiple sheets on the bed. When hot flashes occur, wet the top sheet and remove it.

3. Pay attention to your diet, don’t drink alcohol or eat spicy food.

4. Exercise. Some women find that exercising can reduce the effects of hot flashes and help them sleep better.

5. Eat more tofu. Beans contain a substance that is in the same family as estrogen, which may help relieve symptoms such as hot flashes. You can also drink cold soy milk when hot flashes start.

6. Be patient. The symptoms of menopause are like a rabbit's tail that won't grow back. They will gradually disappear in 3-5 years at most.

7. Deal with vaginal dryness. It seems that decreased libido is related to vaginal dryness. Because vaginal dryness can cause pain during intercourse. There are vaginal lubricating creams on the market, both estrogen-containing and estrogen-free water-soluble, which can lubricate the vagina and solve the problem of vaginal dryness during intercourse.
