How to abort a cornual pregnancy

How to abort cornual pregnancy? Cornual pregnancy is a pregnancy in which the embryo is implanted in the uterine cavity near the junction of the uterus and the fallopian tube opening. It is an ectopic pregnancy. As the pregnancy progresses, the myometrium ruptures and there is a lot of bleeding. If the diagnosis is delayed, it can be life-threatening. Therefore, after it is discovered, you must actively go to the hospital for abortion and terminate the pregnancy. So, how to abort cornual pregnancy?

The treatment method mainly includes drug treatment, curettage, laparoscopy or laparotomy according to the specific situation of cornual pregnancy.

1. For safety reasons, it is recommended that patients who are suspected of having a cornual pregnancy in early pregnancy terminate the pregnancy. For mothers of precious children and patients who strongly request to preserve the fetus, if their general condition is good, HCG and B-ultrasound results can be tracked regularly.

2. Conservative drug treatment: intramuscular injection of MTX (the same method as ectopic pregnancy), or medical abortion using mifepristone combined with misoprostol.

3. Uterine curettage under ultrasound monitoring.

4. Hysteroscopic surgery combined with laparoscopy has a higher success rate.

5. Laparoscopic surgery: If cornual pregnancy is discovered in early pregnancy, laparoscopic cornual wedge resection or cornual incision can be performed. Depending on the situation, salpingectomy or preservation of the fallopian tube can be performed.

6. Laparotomy: Laparotomy is required for cornual rupture and intra-abdominal bleeding. For patients with cornual pregnancy in late pregnancy, cesarean section is the preferred method of delivery. Pay attention to placental separation and prevention of postpartum hemorrhage.

The above is an introduction to abortion methods for cornual pregnancy. Patients should choose the method that suits them according to their own situation so that they can be better cured.
