How to treat mild white lesions of the vulva

Vulvar white lesions include vulvar white lesions, vulvar leukoplakia or vulvar malnutrition. In the past, it was considered to be vascular malnutrition, with vulvar itching as the main symptom. The appearance of vulvar white lesions has a certain impact on the patient's work and life. Therefore, this disease should be treated early. So, how to treat mild vulvar white lesions? Let's take a look together!

1. General treatment

Keep the vulva clean and dry, do not use irritating drugs or soap to wash the vulva, avoid wearing non-breathable synthetic underwear, and do not eat spicy and allergenic foods. For those with obvious itching symptoms and insomnia, sedatives, sleeping pills and anti-allergic drugs can be added.

2. Medication

Hormone therapy mainly achieves the purpose of relieving itching and thinning the skin by anti-inflammatory, inhibiting connective tissue proliferation, and strengthening skin protein decomposition. Commonly used are glucocorticoid ointments or creams, and androgens or progestins can also be applied topically. Hormone treatment lasts for a long time, symptom control is poor, and recurrence is easy after discontinuation of medication. It also requires frequent and repeated medication, and patient compliance is poor. This is one of the treatment methods for vulvar leukoplakia.

3. Physical therapy

Suitable for patients who are ineffective with drug treatment or whose condition is serious. Microwave therapy, carbon dioxide laser and helium-neon laser, Bohm light, high-frequency electric knife, local electrocautery therapy and liquid nitrogen local cryotherapy, etc.
