Nursing care for female patients with miscarriage

The care of female patients who have had miscarriage is very important in itself. Many women do not pay attention after the miscarriage and suffer from many diseases. Even serious patients cannot get pregnant again. But what should we pay attention to? Today I will share with you the care of female patients who have had miscarriage.

Clean the vulva. After abortion, the secretions increase, and the vagina becomes a hotbed for bacterial infection and reproduction. Therefore, you should pay attention to keeping the vulva clean and hygienic, and wash it with warm water 1 to 2 times a day. Change underwear frequently. Keep your underwear clean and sterile, wash and dry your underwear frequently, and change sanitary napkins frequently to keep the vulva dry and clean.

During this period, it is necessary to ensure the supply of high-quality protein, adequate vitamins and inorganic salts, especially sufficient iron, to prevent anemia. Food selection should be nutritious and easy to digest and absorb. Fresh fish, tender chicken, eggs, animal liver, animal blood, lean meat, soy products, milk, jujube, lotus seeds, fresh fruits and vegetables are all good choices.

After abortion, sexual intercourse is prohibited until menstruation resumes. Especially after abortion, the cervix has not yet completely closed, and the endometrium also has a process of repair. During this period, special attention should be paid to keeping the vulva clean and hygienic. If sexual intercourse is too early, it is easy to cause acute endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and secondary infertility. Therefore, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited within one month after abortion.

Women who have undergone medical abortion need to return to the hospital for a follow-up check-up one week after taking the medication. If it is found that the embryo has not been expelled, an ultrasound examination should be performed. If it is confirmed that the pregnancy is continuing or the embryo has stopped developing, a uterine curettage should be performed.

Women who have undergone abortion generally need to be re-examined after the first menstruation is over. The main method is to judge whether the menstruation is normal and whether the uterus is in good condition through abdominal tenderness and B-ultrasound examination.
