Is cervical warts an infectious disease?

Cervical condyloma acuminatum is very contagious nowadays. If you don't take active precautions, you are very likely to be infected. Once infected, many hazards will occur. There is also a certain possibility of infecting family members through indirect contact, which will cause greater harm. So are cervical condyloma a contagious disease?

The answer is yes, cervical warts are infectious diseases.

Experts say that cervical condyloma acuminatum is transmitted in the following ways:

1. Direct sexual contact: This is the main route of transmission. According to research, 2/3 of people who have sexual contact with patients with cervical condyloma acuminatum may develop the disease. The disease is most contagious when the average duration is 3.5 months, so people with promiscuous sex are most susceptible to the disease. Usually, it is infected through unclean sexual intercourse and damaged skin and mucous membranes. Survey data show that condyloma acuminatum mostly occurs in young people aged 20-30, and most of these patients have a history of promiscuous sex outside of marriage.

2. Self-inoculation: The onset of cervical condyloma acuminatum will cause itching, which is very harmful to patients. Many patients will often scratch the affected area. If they do not pay attention to hygiene and touch other parts of their body after scratching, it will cause self-inoculation infection.

3. Contact transmission: Cervical condyloma acuminatum is a sexually transmitted disease with a certain infectious type. When patients come into contact with objects containing HPV pathogens, such as underwear, towels and other personal hygiene products, bathtubs, bathtubs and other public health products, etc., contact transmission will occur.

4. Mutual infection between husband and wife: If both husband and wife suffer from genital warts at the same time, both should be treated at the same time. Because treatment by only one party is ineffective, and incomplete treatment will still cause mutual infection during sexual life. Therefore, cervical genital warts must be treated by husband and wife at the same time to be effective.

5. Mother-to-child transmission: The onset of cervical condyloma acuminatum can cause female patients to be unable to get pregnant. If a pregnant woman has cervical condyloma acuminatum, it is likely to be transmitted to the fetus. At the same time, more attention should be paid. In order to avoid infection of the fetus during delivery, a cesarean section can be selected. Do not bathe with the baby in the same basin after delivery.
