Diagnostic tests for Bartholinitis

Diagnostic tests for Bartholinitis

The occurrence of the disease makes many people suffer. Bartholinitis not only seriously interferes with women's lives, but also brings great harm if it is not treated in time, and even causes some complications, which is more serious for women's bodies. For Bartholinitis, women should take more precautions, and it is also essential to know more about Bartholinitis. Only by knowing more about Bartholinitis can we better cooperate with the treatment.

Clinical diagnostic tests for Bartholinitis:

Bartholinitis is manifested by pain and swelling on one side of the vulva, often accompanied by chills, fever and shivering. The lower 1/3 of the labia majora is locally red, tender and swollen. If an abscess is formed, an egg-sized lump can be seen, with a sense of fluctuation, which can rupture on its own, and the lymph nodes in the corresponding area are swollen. In this regard, experts say that in clinical diagnosis of Bartholinitis, it is generally not difficult to diagnose based on medical history, local appearance and digital examination. However, attention should also be paid to whether there are any abnormalities in the urethral opening and paraurethral glands.

Because Bartholinitis can cause severe pain in patients, vaginal speculum examination is no longer possible and can be temporarily avoided if not necessary. Generally, secretions from the Bartholin's gland opening, urethral opening, and paraurethral glands should be taken for smear examination to check for pathogens. Bartholinitis can cause great harm to the patient's health, so women should actively prevent and treat Bartholinitis in their daily lives.

Bartholinitis is mainly caused by bacterial infection of the Bartholin glands, which in turn causes poor drainage of the gland duct opening. Therefore, keeping the vulva clean is the main way to prevent infection. Pay attention to hygiene, change and wash underwear frequently, and keep the vulva clean and dry. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to scratch the local area or squeeze the abscess. During the onset of the disease, drink plenty of water and avoid spicy foods. Sexual intercourse is prohibited before recovery. Wash the vulva every day, do not wear nylon underwear, and seek timely treatment when suffering from vulvitis, which can prevent the occurrence of Bartholinitis to a certain extent.

I believe that every woman does not want to suffer from Bartholinitis, not only because it is very harmful, but more because it will affect health and bring pain. Therefore, for our healthy life, we must take precautions against Bartholinitis, so that we can ensure that we live a pain-free life.
