What medicine is good for treating endometriosis?

Endometriosis can be treated with drugs to shrink the ectopic lesions and alleviate or eliminate the symptoms. Drug treatment of endometriosis mainly relies on suppressing ovarian function to induce atrophy of the ectopic endometrium. Drug treatment methods include:

(1) Pseudopregnancy therapy: In the 1950s, pseudopregnancy therapy was the main method used to treat endometriosis. The therapy transformed the ectopic endometrium into decidua, caused interstitial edema, and endometrial necrosis and atrophy. Progesterone was the commonly used drug.

(2) Pseudo-menopause therapy: Pseudo-menopause therapy has been used since the 1980s. It inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropin, thereby inhibiting ovarian function, causing endometrial atrophy and menopause. Commonly used drugs include Danabib and Nemetone.

(3) Drug "ovarian removal": GnRH-A has been used to treat endometriosis since the 1980s with good results. The mechanism of action is that GnRH-A occupies most of the GnRH receptors in the pituitary gland, causing pituitary gonadotropin downregulation and pituitary desensitization. As a result, the secretion of the pituitary gonadotropins FSH and LH is reduced, and ultimately the secretion of sex hormones by the ovaries is reduced to the level of menopause, causing the implanted endometrium to atrophy.

(4) Anti-estrogen drugs: Tamoxifen is an anti-estrogen drug and is an alternative drug for the treatment of endometriosis after progesterone and danazol.

(5) Mifepristone (RU486): Mifepristone has the effects of inhibiting ovulation, inducing luteal dissolution, and anti-proliferation, and is widely used in clinical practice. During treatment, patients experience amenorrhea, abdominal pain is relieved, and lesions shrink. Menstruation returns to normal 3 to 6 weeks after stopping the drug.

(6) Traditional Chinese Medicine: Commonly used Guizhi Fuqin Capsule, 3 tablets orally 3 times a day.

The above is the method of treating endometritis provided by the transfer. I hope it can help you and relieve the pain caused by the disease to patients. The treatment of endometriosis needs to be selected according to the condition. Do not go to small informal places for treatment or surgery.
