Vaginal candidiasis is caused by fungal infection and is a common and frequently occurring disease in women. The incidence of vaginal candidiasis is higher than that of trichomonas vaginitis. Common symptoms of patients include increased leucorrhea, vulvar itching, burning sensation, and painful urination. A few patients may develop very shallow vesicles and papules. So who is susceptible to vaginal candidiasis? 1. Women who use a large number of broad-spectrum antibiotics: Pregnant women are susceptible to candidal vaginitis. Usually, there are many bacteria parasitic in women's vagina. These different bacterial communities restrain each other and form a symbiotic state, which is not pathogenic. The large-scale and long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics causes the bacterial community in the vagina to become disordered, and the mutual inhibition is changed, allowing Candida albicans to multiply in large numbers. With the increasing use of antibiotics, the incidence of candidal vaginitis has also increased. 2. Pregnancy: During pregnancy, the level of sex hormones in the body is significantly higher than usual, which will increase the glycogen content in the vaginal epithelial cells, increase the acidity of the vagina, and form an environment that is conducive to the growth of Candida. At the same time, pregnancy can reduce the immunity of cells, which makes Candida easy to cause disease. According to statistics, 1/3 of pregnant women have Candida in their vagina, and the incidence rate is about 15%. 3. Women with diabetes: After suffering from diabetes, sugar metabolism in the body is disordered, blood sugar rises, and the glycogen content in the vaginal epithelial cells increases, which also increases the acidity in the vagina, making it easier for Candida to grow and reproduce. 4. Women who use corticosteroids: Long-term use of corticosteroids will reduce the phagocytic ability of white blood cells and reduce the body's immunity; at the same time, corticosteroids can also increase the body's blood sugar level, increasing the possibility of fungal vaginitis. 5. Women who use immunosuppressants: Using immunosuppressants will reduce the body's immunity and are susceptible to candidal vaginitis. 6. Women who use estrogen: Estrogen can deposit glycogen in vaginal epithelial cells. These glycogens are decomposed into lactic acid by vaginal lactobacilli, which increases vaginal acidity and is conducive to the growth of Candida albicans. |
