What to do if ovarian cysts are prone to recurrence

Ovarian endometriosis cyst is a type of endometriosis and the most difficult benign tumor to treat. It is also called chocolate cyst because a large amount of chocolate-like liquid will flow out after being cut open. When treating this disease, for women over 40 years old who do not want to have children, bilateral ovarian removal can be used for radical treatment. However, for women who want to have children or do not want to lose their ovaries, drug treatment and regular examinations are used. If the symptoms are severe or acute, the cyst needs to be removed surgically.

But it is easy to move around, and it is easy to relapse after this conservative peeling surgery. So far, there is no drug that can cure it. Surgery can only remove the visible chocolate cyst, but it cannot guarantee the complete removal of the small lurking chocolate cyst. And because the surgery itself is destructive, it will stimulate the growth of the remaining chocolate cyst to a certain extent, so the recurrence rate after surgery is high. According to incomplete statistics, the recurrence rate 3 years after surgery is as high as 38%~51%. Therefore, supplementary treatment must be carried out after surgery to prevent recurrence.

At present, there are two kinds of postoperative prevention methods. One is to get pregnant immediately to prevent recurrence for those who want to have children; the other is to choose imported injections, oral imported medicines and Marvelon. In short, after menstruation stops, the chance of recurrence is much smaller.

The above explains to you that there is still a possibility of recurrence of ovarian cysts after treatment. Everyone must take preventive measures to prevent problems before they happen, strictly follow the doctor's advice, and do not take medication indiscriminately. I hope everyone can pay attention to this and always be vigilant against the recurrence of ovarian cysts.
