Traditional Chinese medicine divides acute pelvic inflammatory disease into two main stages, and the treatment methods for different stages are also very different. 1. Fever period The fever period of acute pelvic inflammatory disease is also called the syndrome of heat and toxic congestion. The principle of traditional Chinese medicine treatment is mainly to clear away heat and detoxify, resolve blood stasis and relieve pain. There are two main prescriptions, namely Yinqiao Hongjiang Jiedu Decoction, which contains Chinese herbs such as honeysuckle, forsythia, red vine, Patrinia, moutan bark, raw gardenia, red peony root, Corydalis, Toosendan fruit, etc.; Dahuang Mudan Decoction, which contains Chinese herbs such as raw rhubarb, peony bark, red peony root, coix seed, honeysuckle, Patrinia, Hedyotis diffusa, etc. If the patient's fever symptoms are more severe, gypsum and coptis chinensis can be added to achieve the effect of reducing fever; if the patient has a feeling of urgency and heaviness in the stool, kudzu root and yellow apple can be added to relieve the symptoms; if the patient has obvious abdominal pain symptoms, myrrh and frankincense can be added to relieve the pain; if the patient has obvious abdominal distension symptoms, Zhishi and Chuan Pu can be added to relieve it. 2. Symptom stage The symptomatic stage of acute pelvic inflammatory disease is also called the syndrome of mutual obstruction of blood stasis and heat. The principles of TCM treatment are mainly to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, clear away heat and remove dampness. There are two main prescriptions, namely, Leng'e Xiaoji Decoction, which contains Chinese herbs such as Trillium, Curcuma, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Red Peony Root, Coix Seed, Corydalis, Moutan Bark, Red Clove, Patrinia scabra; and Xianfang Huoming Decoction, which contains Chinese herbs such as honeysuckle, licorice, pangolin, Gleditsia sinensis thorn, Angelica sinensis tail, Red Peony Root, frankincense, myrrh, Radix Trichosanthis, Tangerine Peel, Saposhnikovia divaricata, Fritillaria thunbergii, Angelica dahurica, etc. |
