The type of vaginitis can be identified by the characteristics of leucorrhea

There are many types of vaginitis. Due to differences in pathogenic factors, different vaginitis patients may have leucorrhea of different characteristics.

1. Nonspecific vaginitis

The leucorrhea of patients with nonspecific vaginitis is generally serous or purulent, without foam or curd. Common pathogens include Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and Proteus. Tracing the medical history, it can be found that patients with this type of vaginitis often have a history of using corrosive drugs, long-term uterine bleeding, pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, endometritis, or a history of miscarriage, and their body resistance is weak, which destroys the normal ecological environment in the vagina, providing conditions for the growth and reproduction of pathogens, and then nonspecific vaginitis occurs.

2. Fungal vaginitis

The characteristics of leucorrhea in patients with candidal vaginitis vary. It may be watery, curd-like, or ointment-like, and some may even present as lumpy, sticky leucorrhea.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis

The leucorrhea of patients with Trichomonas vaginitis is mostly white, occasionally with yellow-green purulent foamy leucorrhea accompanied by a fishy smell. In severe cases, it may even contain blood, presenting as bloody leucorrhea, which is mainly caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.

4. Gonorrheal vaginitis

The leucorrhea of patients with gonorrheal vaginitis is generally purulent and has a large amount. It is mainly caused by gonococci and is related to unclean sexual intercourse.
