What are the main forms of physical therapy for cervical erosion?

Physical therapy is a commonly used method for clinical treatment of cervical erosion. It is mainly suitable for patients with large erosion area and deep inflammatory infiltration, and mainly includes the following 3 forms.

1. Electric iron

Electric ironing physical therapy mainly uses a special electric iron to burn the tissue on the cervical erosion surface, causing it to necrotize and fall off. It should be noted that during the electric ironing process, a certain depth must be reached to achieve a better therapeutic effect.

2. Frozen

Cryotherapy mainly uses a special rapid freezing device to freeze the diseased tissue on the surface of cervical erosion, causing it to necrotize and fall off. The commonly used cryogen is liquid nitrogen, which can reduce the temperature of the freezing head of the freezer to minus 196°C. Placing it on the surface of the cervix will cause the eroded tissue to freeze, necrotize, and fall off, and then new epithelial tissue will grow. It should be noted that a small number of patients may experience mild dizziness, lower abdominal pain and other adverse reactions, which generally disappear on their own later without treatment.

3. Laser

Laser physical therapy mostly uses a carbon dioxide laser therapy device, which uses its special laser treatment head to irradiate the cervical erosion tissue, causing it to carbonize, form scabs, and fall off, and then grow new squamous epithelium. It should be noted that a small number of patients may experience bleeding when the scabs fall off. If the symptoms are mild, generally no treatment is required and they will disappear on their own later.
