Identify several rare clinical types of ectopic pregnancy

In addition to the common tubal pregnancy, there are 4 other rare clinical types of ectopic pregnancy.

1. Ovarian pregnancy

Ovarian pregnancy mainly refers to the process in which the fertilized egg implants and grows and develops in the ovary. It is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy. The consequence is bound to be internal bleeding due to rupture, and even shock in severe cases. If not treated in time, it will endanger the woman's life.

2. Abdominal pregnancy

Abdominal pregnancy is a type of pregnancy in the abdominal cavity other than the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and ligaments. It is mainly divided into two types: primary and secondary. Primary abdominal pregnancy refers to an ectopic pregnancy in which the fertilized egg is directly implanted in the peritoneum, mesentery, greater omentum, etc.; secondary abdominal pregnancy often occurs after a miscarriage or rupture of a fallopian tube pregnancy, when the embryo falls into the abdominal cavity, leaving part of the chorionic tissue still attached to the original implantation site and continuing to grow outward, attached to the pelvic peritoneum and the surface of adjacent organs.

3. Rudimentary horn pregnancy

Rudimentary horn pregnancy mainly refers to the type of ectopic pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants and grows in the rudimentary horn of the uterus. Since the rudimentary horn of the uterus itself is a congenital developmental malformation, mainly related to the incomplete development of the paramesonephric duct on one side, this type of ectopic pregnancy will undoubtedly cause internal bleeding due to rupture.

4. Cervical pregnancy

Cervical pregnancy mainly refers to a type of ectopic pregnancy in which the embryo implants and develops in the cervical mucosa of the cervical canal. It is easy to miss the diagnosis clinically.
