Imbalanced pH in the body can easily lead to vaginitis

The imbalance of pH in women's bodies creates an opportunity for pathogenic bacteria to take advantage, which may induce vaginal inflammation such as bacterial, fungal and Trichomonas vaginitis.

1. Bacterial vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis is the most common type of vaginitis. Women with bacterial vaginosis have a vaginal pH > 6.0. The main symptom is a uniform, thin vaginal discharge with a foul odor. Related studies have shown that it takes several months on average for the vaginal pH to drop from 5.2 to 4.2, which means that it takes a long time for the symptoms of vaginal inflammation to disappear.

2. Fungal vaginitis

The main symptoms of candidal vaginitis are increased leucorrhea, vulvar itching, redness and edema around the vulva, shallow vesicles and papules, and eczematous erosions. Women with candidal vaginitis have a vaginal pH value of >6.0.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis

Trichomonas vaginalis is a parasitic protozoan. The most suitable pH value for reproduction is 5.5-6.0. It is difficult to survive in a vaginal environment with a pH value of less than 5.0 or a pH value of more than 7.5. When Trichomonas reproduces in large numbers, it can spread to the vulva and cause Trichomonas vulvitis. Trichomonas vaginitis is also a common vaginitis and can be transmitted through sex. About 70% of men will be infected after having sex with women once, but men do not show symptoms and become carriers of Trichomonas. There is an 80% chance of causing secondary transmission of vaginitis.
