What is abortion syndrome

What is abortion syndrome

Artificial abortion, also known as induced abortion, refers to the termination of pregnancy through surgery. It should be noted that all surgeries have certain risks, and induced abortion is no exception. The patient may experience incomplete abortion, infection after abortion, irregular menstruation, heavy bleeding during surgery, infertility, habitual abortion, induced abortion syndrome, etc.

Among them, the occurrence of abortion syndrome is closely related to psychological factors and is the result of the combined effects of mental and neurological factors. For most pregnant women who undergo abortion, they can tolerate the mechanical stimulation during abortion through the self-regulation of the nervous system, but there are also a few pregnant women who have poor autonomic nerve stability and enhanced vagus nerve self-reflexes, which cause corresponding changes in the body, mainly manifested as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, chest tightness, shortness of breath, pale complexion, sweating, decreased blood pressure, arrhythmia, and severe cases may also experience convulsions and shock.

Therefore, to prevent the occurrence of artificial abortion syndrome, we must first start with psychological factors, eliminate the patient's fear of artificial abortion, avoid excessive mental stress, and avoid patients undergoing surgery when they are too tired or hungry. During surgery, doctors should try to reduce the intensity of stimulation to the uterine cervix and uterine wall as much as possible, which can also reduce the patient's psychological burden to a certain extent and reduce the occurrence of artificial abortion syndrome. For women who have experienced artificial abortion syndrome, appropriate drugs can be used when they have another abortion to prevent it from happening again.
