Irregular menstruation is a common gynecological disease, manifested as abnormal menstrual cycle or bleeding, or abdominal pain and systemic symptoms before and during menstruation. Irregular menstruation is closely related to many bad habits in daily life: Negative emotions Long-term mental depression, sulking, or major mental stimulation and psychological trauma in women can lead to menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, or amenorrhea. This is because menstruation is formed after the hormones secreted by the ovaries stimulate the endometrium, and the hormones secreted by the ovaries are controlled by the release of hormones from the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. Abnormal functions of the ovaries, pituitary gland, and hypothalamus will affect menstruation. Cold stimulation Studies have shown that if women are exposed to cold during menstruation or are in a low temperature environment for a long time, the blood vessels in the pelvis will contract excessively, which can cause oligomenorrhea or even amenorrhea. Excessive dieting Relevant studies have shown that women need body fat to reach at least 22% of their body weight to maintain a normal menstrual cycle. Excessive dieting, due to insufficient energy intake, causes a large amount of fat and protein to be consumed in the body, resulting in estrogen synthesis disorders and obvious deficiency, affecting menstruation, and even causing scanty menstruation or amenorrhea. Addicted to smoking and drinking Certain components and alcohol in smoke can interfere with physiological processes related to menstruation, causing irregular menstruation. A study shows that among women who smoke and drink excessively, 25%-32% go to the hospital for treatment due to irregular menstruation. Among women who smoke more than one pack a day or drink more than 100 mg of strong liquor, the incidence of irregular menstruation is three times that of women who do not smoke or drink. |
