TCM treatment of functional uterine bleeding

Cai, 30 years old, was depressed 9 years ago because of her father's sudden difficulty at work. She had suffered from typhoid fever. After the fever subsided, she sweated every time she fell asleep, sometimes more and sometimes less. After many treatments, there was no improvement. Then she had menorrhagia, which came every other time and continued. She was tired, depressed, had pain in the waist and spine, was irritable and insomnia, had a small amount of reduction, had unclear hearing and eyesight, her hair began to fall out, and she had a cold body like malaria. After 5 years of marriage, she had not been pregnant, and her husband had no abnormality in his health.

The husband took Cai to see a Chinese doctor, who found her pulse was deep and thin, and her face was sallow, so she was diagnosed with metrorrhagia, which is what Western medicine calls functional uterine bleeding. The couple followed the doctor's instructions and used Qiguiyujiao Decoction to regulate menstruation in order to achieve the effect of replenishing qi and blood.

Recipe: 20 grams of Astragalus, 10 grams of Angelica, 10 grams of Cornus, 10 grams of donkey-hide gelatin, 10 grams of Chuanxiong, 20 grams of Codonopsis, 20 grams of Cistanche, 10 grams of Polygala, 5 grams of cinnamon, and 20 grams of Atractylodes.

Method of decoction: Use four bowls of water to fry the eight ingredients. When the water is reduced to one bowl, remove the residue and add the donkey-hide gelatin. Boil over low heat until the gelatin is dissolved. Roast the cinnamon powder and take it before going to bed at night. Use five sets at first, one set per day, before meals. Add gorgon fruit, pork bones, and ginger to make soup.

One month later, the doctor asked me to take another five doses of the medicine, and I would be able to conceive after another two months of treatment.
