How is vulvar leukoplakia formed?

Lesions in the vulva area are one of the causes of vulvar leukoplakia, which is more common in postmenopausal and elderly women. This cause of vulvar leukoplakia, which is related to the patient's personal physical condition, is difficult to avoid. It is also one of the main reasons why elderly women are deeply troubled by vulvar leukoplakia as they age.

Neurodegeneration: The vulvar nerves of postmenopausal and elderly women undergo degeneration, local inflammation and neurodegeneration, leading to itching, malnutrition and abnormal epidermal growth, which is the main cause of vulvar leukoplakia.

Matrix changes: When inflammation occurs, bacteria produce enzymes that break down the matrix and cause degeneration, resulting in edema. This causes the collagen fibers to swell and degenerate, and the blood vessels to be compressed, which in turn affects the epidermis. This is one of the causes of vulvar leukoplakia.

Blood supply disorder: When the skin or mucous membrane epidermis is stimulated, blood vessels dilate and congestion occurs, causing tissue edema. The edema pressure causes insufficient local oxygen supply, causing epidermal growth disorders.

The cause of vulvar leukoplakia may also be related to genetics. The onset time of this factor is uncertain and it will only occur when it is stimulated by certain external factors. In general, the cause of vulvar leukoplakia has a lot to do with the patient's own physical health, so daily maintenance is necessary.
