How to provide care and health care for patients with functional uterine bleeding?

While treating functional uterine bleeding, patients should also pay attention to nursing and health care, which plays an indispensable role in the recovery of the disease. Let's take a look at how to carry out nursing and health care.

(1) Eat a light diet and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C.

(2) Avoid overeating to prevent damage to the spleen and stomach; avoid spicy or overly cold foods.

(3) Health foods for the premenstrual period include rice, cabbage, leeks, celery, oranges, etc.; health foods for the postmenstrual period include milk, pig pancreas, carrots, safflower, etc.; foods that can be eaten before and after the menstrual period include kelp, dried dates, tofu skin, sorghum, coix seed, mutton, apples, etc.

(4) Foods that are taboo during menstruation include cold foods such as snow pear, steamed chicken, water chestnut, stone ear, stone flower, and ground ear; spicy foods such as cinnamon, prickly ash, cloves, pepper, and chili; and foods that damage the spleen, stomach, or kidney qi such as water chestnut, wild rice shoots, winter melon, kale, bracken, black fungus, and rabbit meat.

(5) Strictly grasp the indications of estrogen and use it reasonably; it should be used with caution in women in the menopausal transition period and postmenopausal women. The application time should not be too long, the dosage should not be large, and the reaction should be closely observed.

(6) During surgical treatment, care should be taken to prevent the spread or direct implantation of cancer cells, which could result in failure to cure and lead to recurrence.

(7) After treatment, follow-up visits should be made regularly. When bleeding occurs, patients should pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, change underwear and sanitary napkins frequently, and never fail to clean the vulva because of bleeding. Instead, the vulva must be cleaned every day during the menstrual period to remove blood stains. During cleaning, patients can use some vulva cleansers or warm water, but should avoid bathing in a tub; married women should avoid sexual intercourse during the bleeding period. If the amount of bleeding is large, it can cause anemia and reduce the body's resistance. Hemostasis measures should be strengthened and anti-infection should be used as appropriate to prevent inflammation and acute infectious diseases.
