Tip: Fungal vaginitis is more likely to occur in summer

Summer is here, and with it comes the emergence of many diseases, and candidal vaginitis is one of them. So what is candidal vaginitis? What are the causes of candidal vaginitis?

As the name suggests, candidal vaginitis is caused by fungal infection, and its incidence rate is higher than that of trichomonas vaginitis. Patients with candidal vaginitis show increased leucorrhea, itching and burning sensation of the vulva and vagina, painful urination, redness and edema around the vulva, and various changes in the epidermis, including very shallow vesicles and papules, eczematous erosions, and some may cause tiny white pustules, and ulcers in severe cases.

Causes of vaginal candidiasis include:

1. Diabetes: After suffering from diabetes, the body's sugar metabolism is disordered, blood sugar rises, and the glycogen content in the vaginal epithelial cells increases, which also increases the acidity in the vagina, making it easier for Candida to grow and reproduce.

2. Pregnancy: During pregnancy, the level of sex hormones in the body is significantly higher than usual, which will increase the glycogen content in the vaginal epithelial cells, increase the acidity of the vagina, and form an environment that is conducive to the growth of Candida. At the same time, pregnancy can reduce the immunity of cells, which makes Candida easy to cause disease. This is one of the causes of candidal vaginitis.

3. Bad hygiene habits: For example, wiping with toilet paper from the anus to the urethra after going to the toilet will bring intestinal fungi to the vulva and cause inflammation. Washing underwear and socks together, sharing a bathtub with patients with candidal vaginitis, and wearing other people's underwear can also cause cross infection.

The above is an introduction to the causes of candidal vaginitis. Once candidal vaginitis occurs, female friends should seek treatment as soon as possible to avoid various complications caused by candidal vaginitis.
