What are the typical symptoms of uterine cysts?

Uterine cyst is a broad ovarian tumor that can occur at any age, but it is most common between the ages of 20 and 50. Ovarian malignant tumors are difficult to diagnose in the early stage due to their short course, and 70% of patients are diagnosed at the time of treatment; they are in the late stage, and early treatment is rare, and the 5-year survival rate has been hovering around 20-30%. It is one of the most serious malignant tumors that threaten women's lives. The ovary is a relatively small organ in the human body, but ovarian tumors are a common site of various tumors, with different properties and forms - single or mixed, unilateral or bilateral, cystic or solid, benign or malignant, and many ovarian tumors can produce female or male sex hormones.

1Typical symptoms of benign uterine cysts

It develops slowly, has no symptoms in the early stage, and is often discovered accidentally during a gynecological examination. Medium-sized tumors often feel abdominal discomfort, feel a mass, and grow upward from the lower abdomen. During a gynecological examination, a spherical mass is felt on one side of the uterus, which is cystic or solid, with a smooth surface and no adhesion to the uterus. The elderly can move freely. Large or large tumors fill the pelvis, and the abdomen may experience compression symptoms such as frequent urination, constipation, shortness of breath, and palpitations. During a gynecological examination, the vaginal vault is full and the lower pole of the tumor can be touched. The uterus is located on one side or in front and behind the tumor and moves with the cervix.

2Typical symptoms of malignant uterine cysts

There are no conscious symptoms in the early stage, and symptoms are often in the late stage. Due to the rapid growth of the tumor, abdominal distension, abdominal mass and ascites may occur in the short term. How the tumor infiltrates or compresses the surrounding tissues can cause abdominal pain, back pain or lower limb pain; if it compresses the pelvic veins, the lower limbs will edema; if it is a functional tumor, the corresponding symptoms of excess estrogen or androgen will appear. Late-stage patients show severe disease phenomena. Gynecological examination can touch the posterior vaginal fornix scattered in the hard nodules, the lumps are mostly lateral, solid or semi-solid, with uneven surface, fixed, and often accompanied by bloody ascites. Sometimes enlarged lymph nodes can be touched in the groin, axilla or clavicle.
