What is cervical hypertrophy?

Cervical hypertrophy is a type of chronic cervicitis. Inflammatory changes caused by pathogens infecting the cervical mucosa. Pathogens include mycoplasma, chlamydia, bacteria and viruses. Simple hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy. Severe cervicitis can cause endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, fallopian tube adhesions and obstruction, leading to infertility. So how to treat cervical hypertrophy?

The treatment of cervical hypertrophy can be freezing or electroresection, or microwave or laser. The principle is to remove part of the hypertrophy, and then re-reserve cell proliferation to form a normal cervix. If cervical hypertrophy is not treated with physical therapy, vaginal suppositories can be used locally to reduce inflammation and control its development. Because uterine cavity congestion can lead to hyperplasia of uterine connective tissue, it can lead to cervical hypertrophy. Chronic adnexitis and pelvic connective tissue inflammation can lead to hyperplasia of uterine myometrial fibrosis, which eventually leads to cervical hypertrophy. Simple cervical hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy, but severe cervicitis can cause endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, tubal adhesions, and obstruction, leading to infertility. Due to injury or inflammatory stimulation, the surface of the hypertrophic cervix will also have squamous epithelial shedding and columnar epithelial hyperplasia, forming erosion. After inflammatory treatment, local cervical congestion and edema subside, and the surface of the cervix is covered with squamous epithelium again and restored to smoothness. In order to prevent cervical hypertrophy, you usually need to pay attention to your personal hygiene, take a shower, and use basins and towels to divide it reasonably. It is best to disinfect it with hot water to avoid bacterial infection. In daily life, you should pay attention to changing underwear frequently and choose cotton underwear, which is also very good for women's body. If you have vaginitis, it is easy for women to get infected because they avoid sexual intercourse. You can choose to go to the hospital for a check-up once a month, through TCT screening, cervical scraping and other examination methods.
