Get rid of lower limb edema. Ginseng, astragalus, winter melon and chicken soup replenishes qi and helps drain water.

In his book "Seven-Day Weight Loss Diet Prepared by Eight Doctors", Chinese medicine practitioner Wu Honggan mentioned that people with spleen deficiency and phlegm and dampness tend to have qi deficiency. If they want to be a size smaller, they can take the approach of invigorating qi and strengthening the spleen to replenish qi, while at the same time promoting diuresis and eliminating dampness, accelerating the elimination of abnormal water in the body. In addition to avoiding cold foods and exercising more to promote blood circulation, you can also use herbs such as Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, Coix seed and Alisma orientalis to regulate your physical condition.

Chinese medicine practitioner Wu Honggan recommends that people with spleen deficiency and phlegm-dampness constitution, especially those who are prone to afternoon fatigue or lower limb edema, can cook some "Ginseng, Astragalus, Winter Melon and Chicken Soup" on weekdays to eat, which has the effect of replenishing qi and promoting diuresis. Codonopsis pilosula is sweet and mild in nature, and can tonify the middle and replenish qi, and harmonize the spleen and stomach. Roasted Astragalus can nourish the middle and replenish vital energy, warm the three burners, and strengthen the spleen and stomach. Chicken can nourish the body and warm the stomach. Chicken breast has low fat and is rich in protein. Winter melon is sweet and cold in nature, and can relieve heat, benefit the spleen, promote urination and defecation, and eliminate edema.
