Researcher Dr James Gardiner published the study in the Journal of Clinical Investigation and said that when people are hungry, glucokinase is not satisfied, so they cannot resist the temptation of food. To lose weight effectively, the research team speculates that one should first consume sugary foods to satisfy glucokinase, which will control appetite and prevent overeating, effectively preventing eating too much and gaining weight, or eating too much and becoming uncomfortable.

It is recommended that people who want to lose weight should eat some glucose-rich foods before meals. Desserts are indeed a very tempting method, but starchy foods can also be converted into glucose, so starchy foods such as French fries, bread, and pasta actually contain more glucose and may be more effective in satisfying glucose kinase.
