5 tips for drinking water correctly to help you lose weight

No matter what method is used to lose weight, one thing that must be mentioned is to drink more water. However, there is a method to drink water. You can't achieve weight loss effects by drinking water crazily. Drinking the right water at the right time can achieve twice the result with half the effort, and your figure will naturally become lighter.

Drink water to lose weight

1. Drink a glass of water when you wake up: When you just wake up early in the morning, drink a glass of about 200-300 ml of warm water on an empty stomach. Your body has been sleeping for several hours without taking in water. In the morning, you should rely on drinking water to boost your spirits and clean your stomach. Usually, you will feel the urge to defecate about half an hour later if you drink a glass of water in the morning. With a stable bowel movement time, your lower abdomen will naturally disappear!

2. Drink a glass of water before meals: When people feel hungry or thirsty, the brain will release similar messages. Therefore, sometimes feeling hungry is actually just a warning from the body that it is dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water 30 minutes before a meal can help avoid overeating. Studies have shown that water can stimulate the sympathetic nervous system for up to 1.5 to 2 hours, and the secreted adrenaline can help consume stored fat in the body. Compared with dieting, this method of weight loss is more stable and lasting.

3. Drink a cup of herbal tea in the afternoon: It is hard to drink only water during tea time, but milk tea and coffee with sugar are not conducive to weight loss. At this time, you can have a cup of caffeine-free herbal tea that can nourish the skin and is non-irritating. You can also choose roselle tea which can remove edema and promote diuresis, rosemary which promotes blood circulation and lowers cholesterol, etc.

4. Add vegetable and fruit juice to dinner: Choose low-calorie, high-fiber fruits and vegetables, and avoid high-calorie fruits such as mangoes and bananas. You can choose guava, apples, kiwis, and vegetables such as celery and lettuce. The metabolic enzymes in fruits and vegetables can help break down food into smaller molecules and reduce the burden on the stomach.

5. Daily water intake: The amount of water intake varies according to each person's physical condition, but in principle it is based on individual body weight multiplied by 30 to 70 times. For example, a person weighing 50 kg needs at least 30x50=1500cc per day; a person with normal metabolic function can consume 50x50=2500cc. A person with a greater water demand, such as an athlete, can consume 50x70=3500cc.
