What does ectopic pregnancy mean?

What we call "ectopic pregnancy" every day, in medicine, refers to the situation where the fertilized egg is abnormally implanted outside the uterine cavity and develops into a pregnancy. It is usually called ectopic pregnancy. It is generally caused by inflammation around the fallopian tube, which hinders the normal operation of the fertilized egg and develops into an ectopic pregnancy.

What are the symptoms of ectopic pregnancy?

One is menopause. Except for the menopause of tubal interstitial pregnancy, most of them have menopause of about 8 weeks. About 30% of patients have no obvious history of menopause, or their menstruation is only about 3 days overdue.

Second, vaginal bleeding. After the embryo dies, there is often irregular vaginal bleeding, which is dark red in color and small in amount, generally not exceeding the amount of menstruation. A small number of patients have more vaginal bleeding, which is similar to menstruation, and vaginal bleeding may be accompanied by decidua fragments.

The third is syncope and shock. Due to intraperitoneal bleeding and severe pain, mild syncope may occur, and severe hemorrhagic shock symptoms may occur. The more and faster the bleeding, the faster and more severe the symptoms will appear, but they are not proportional to the amount of vaginal bleeding.

What are the causes of ectopic pregnancy?

1. Tubal inflammation can be divided into tubal mucositis and perisalpingitis, which is a common cause of tubal pregnancy. Severe tubal mucositis can lead to complete obstruction of the lumen and infertility. Mild tubal mucosal adhesions and cilia defects will hinder the movement of the fertilized egg, thereby preventing it from implanting here.

2. Hypoplasia of the fallopian tube or abnormal function. Hypoplasia of the fallopian tube is usually manifested by excessive length of the fallopian tube, poor muscle development, and lack of mucosal cilia.
