What are the methods of treating uterine fibroids with traditional Chinese medicine?

Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of uterine fibroids:

1. Qi stagnation and blood stasis: urine clots in the uterus, heavy menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period, dark purple menstrual blood with blood clots, bloating and pain in the lower abdomen, pain relieved after blood clots pass out, bloating and pain in the breasts before menstruation, depression or irritability, dark purple tongue with thin and dry tongue coating, and stringy and astringent pulse.

Treatment method: Promote qi and blood circulation, eliminate paralysis and disperse nodules.

Prescription: 10 grams each of Angelica sinensis, Ligusticum chuanxiong, peach kernel, safflower, Trillium, Curcuma zedoaria, Linderae scutellariae, and processed Cyperus rotundus, 15 grams each of red peony root, litchi kernel, and Prunella vulgaris, 30 grams of raw oyster, and 6 grams of roasted licorice.

Chinese patent medicine: Wuxiang Pills.

2. Qi deficiency and blood stasis: accumulation of lumps in the uterus, early and heavy menstruation, or spotting, light color, blood clots, pain in the lower abdomen, shortness of breath and fatigue, poor appetite and loose stools, pale complexion, dark and pale tongue with ecchymosis on the edges, and weak and thready pulse.

Treatment method: Replenish Qi and nourish the middle, resolve blood stasis and eliminate urinary incontinence.

Prescription: 15 grams each of Codonopsis pilosula, roasted Astragalus membranaceus, Atractylodes macrocephala, Dioscorea batatas, Trillium gracile, Prunella vulgaris, and Kelp, and 10 grams each of Trillium gracile, Curcuma zedoaria, and Citrus aurantium.

Chinese patent medicine: Fuke Huishengdan.

3 Phlegm and blood stasis: accumulation of lumps in the uterus, distension and pain in the lower abdomen, excessive vaginal discharge with thick white color, heavy menstruation with clots, infertility after a long marriage, fullness in the chest and abdomen, obesity, tight and dark tongue with greasy coating, and deep and slippery pulse.

Treatment method: Regulate Qi and resolve phlegm, eliminate phlegm and relieve urinary incontinence.

Prescription: 10 grams each of Pinellia, dried tangerine peel, processed Cyperus rotundus, Ligusticum chuanxiong, and Areca arborvitae, 15 grams each of Poria, Atractylodes macrocephala, Prunella vulgaris, and Sargassum, 12 grams of Curcuma zedoaria, and 6 grams of Costus root.

Chinese patent medicine: Guizhi Fuling Pills combined with Erchen Pills.
