Adenomyosis, the abdomen has become hard, what is going on

Because the relevant knowledge of the disease is not well known to everyone, it is not surprising that some people do not know the symptoms of adenomyosis. So why is the abdomen of adenomyosis so hard? Next, let's briefly explain this phenomenon.

Adenomyosis refers to benign infiltration of the endometrium into the muscle and diffuse growth. It is characterized by ectopic endometrium and glands in the myometrium, accompanied by hypertrophy and proliferation of surrounding myometrial cells. Endometriosis is called endometriosis, and pelvic endometriosis is called extrauterine endometriosis. Many scholars believe that these two diseases are not the same disease. The same is that they are both regulated by ovarian hormones.

The uterus of adenomyosis is enlarged, spherical, and hardened. The uterus generally does not exceed 12 weeks of pregnancy. In recent menstrual examinations, the uterus is tender. If the lesion is localized, the uterus is irregularly enlarged and the nodules are uneven. It often coexists with uterine fibroids. During menstruation, due to congestion, edema, and bleeding of the lesions, the uterus can be enlarged, soft, and tenderness is more obvious than usual; after menstruation, women are found to have a shrunken uterus during examination. This cyclical sign has become one of the important bases for diagnosing this disease. When combined with pelvic endometriosis, the uterus is enlarged, retroverted, fixed, the sacral ligaments are thickened, or there are painful nodules in the uterine depression.
