Do I need to take a sitz bath with lotion every day if I have cervical erosion?

1. Clinically, cervical erosion refers to ectopia of the cervical columnar epithelium. Ectopic cervical columnar epithelium usually does not require daily sitz baths with lotion.

2. Cervical columnar epithelium ectopia refers to the migration of columnar epithelium in the cervical canal to the outside of the cervical canal due to the action of estrogen. It is a relatively common physiological phenomenon. When the estrogen level in the body changes, a transformation zone will be formed at the original squamous junction and the physiological squamous junction. During the formation of the transformation zone, the columnar epithelium will be transformed into squamous epithelium. When the squamous epithelium of the cervix falls off, the falling surface will be covered by the columnar epithelium. Because the columnar epithelium is very thin, it will cause the capillaries to vaguely appear from the bottom to the inside, and it will be red and look like erosion, but it is not the real epithelial cell shedding. It is a normal physiological change, not a disease, so there is no need to bathe with lotion every day. Daily washing may destroy the normal flora in the vagina, leading to an imbalance of flora, and may stimulate various inflammations. When bacteria rush into the uterine cavity, it may stimulate diseases such as endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease. Bathing with lotion every day should be avoided.

3. Since cervical columnar epithelial ectopy is a normal physiological phenomenon, there are generally no special clinical symptoms and no treatment is required. Pay attention to local hygiene in daily life and change underwear every day.
