Causes and treatments of uterine prolapse

Causes and treatments of uterine prolapse:

The causes of uterine prolapse in daily life are as follows:

1. During pregnancy and childbirth, the pelvic fascia ligaments and muscles may weaken their support due to excessive pulling. Participating in physical labor too early after childbirth, especially heavy physical labor, will affect the recovery of pelvic floor tissue tension and lead to pelvic organ prolapse.

2. Aging. With age, especially after menopause, the pelvic floor support structure atrophies.

3. Chronic cough, abdominal obesity, continuous weight-bearing or constipation can increase abdominal pressure and cause uterine prolapse.

4. Iatrogenic factors, including defects in the pelvic floor support structure during surgery.

Mild uterine prolapse may be asymptomatic, and vaginal prolapse can be reduced by itself after lying down and resting. Severe prolapse of the ligaments, fascia, pelvic congestion, varying degrees of lumbar pain or falling sensation, long-term standing or fatigue symptoms are aggravated, and bed rest can alleviate the symptoms. In severe cases, the protrusion cannot be reduced, affecting movement. The surface of the cervical mucosa is thickened, keratinized or eroded, and ulcerated due to long-term exposure. Patients may have increased leucorrhea, sometimes purulent or bloody leucorrhea, and some may have menstrual disorders and increased menstrual blood volume. Accompanied by cystocele, there are also dysuria, urinary retention, stress urinary incontinence, etc.
