What not to eat during menstruation

What not to eat during menstruation

During menstruation, you should not eat raw, cold, spicy, or indigestible foods.

1. Raw, cold and cool foods: such as persimmons, watermelons, snails, crabs, pears, cold drinks, ice cream, etc., may stimulate blood vessel contraction and easily cause dysmenorrhea symptoms.

2. Spicy and stimulating foods: such as chili, pepper, barbecue, hot pot, etc. These foods may cause blood vessels to dilate, and are prone to symptoms of prolonged menstruation or dysmenorrhea.

3. Foods that are difficult to digest: such as nuts, beef, barbecue, fried chicken, etc. The digestive function is relatively weak during menstruation, and eating these foods may cause indigestion symptoms.

In addition to the above foods, during menstruation, you should also avoid taking medicines that have the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis or stopping bleeding, such as Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction, Yimucao Granules, and Gongxueting Granules, etc. If you have any discomfort or concerns, you need to see a doctor in time and have a professional gynecologist diagnose and treat it.

Note: During menstruation, women are advised to eat more warm and easily digestible foods, such as red dates, wolfberries, brown sugar ginger water, etc., to help menstrual blood to be discharged smoothly. At the same time, adequate sleep and proper exercise can help relieve menstrual discomfort.
