What does pelvic effusion mean, is it a disease, and can it be cured?

Pelvic effusion is usually a physical sign, not a disease. Pelvic effusion means the presence of fluid in the pelvic cavity. If it is physiological, it usually does not require treatment. If it is pathological, it can be treated with medication or surgery.

1. Physiological pelvic effusion: Physiological pelvic effusion usually occurs before and after a woman's menstruation or in the early stages of pregnancy. A small amount of fluid will accumulate in the pelvic cavity. This is a normal physiological phenomenon. After menstruation or ovulation, the effusion will usually disappear on its own and no special treatment is required.

2. Pathological pelvic effusion: Pathological pelvic effusion is usually caused by diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic myoma, pelvic tuberculosis, etc. It may also be caused by local hygiene infection due to lack of attention. Common symptoms include increased secretions, increased menstrual volume, pain and bleeding during sexual intercourse, etc. Under the guidance of a doctor, you can take appropriate amounts of oral metronidazole tablets, levofloxacin, Jingangteng capsules and other drugs for treatment.
