How to take care of yourself after myomectomy? Precautions for myomectomy

Uterine fibroids are one of the most common benign tumors in the female reproductive organs and one of the most common tumors in the human body. They are also called fibroids and uterine fibroids. Because uterine fibroids are mainly composed of the proliferation of uterine smooth muscle cells and a small amount of fibrous connective tissue exists as supporting tissue, they are more accurately called uterine leiomyoma. Uterine fibroids.

Therefore, we provide the following considerations for resection:

1. Patients with large fibroids with a diameter of 6 cm or above should be pretreated with GnRH-a before surgery.

2. Note that the operation time should be limited to 1 hour and the absorption of perfusion fluid should be limited to 2000 ml to avoid the occurrence of TURp syndrome.

3. If the fibroid cannot be completely removed, a 9mm resectoscope can be used to remove more than 5mm of the fibroid protruding into the cavity and the fibroid remaining in the myometrium. After 2 to 3 months after the operation, hysteroscopic myomectomy can be performed again to completely remove the fibroid protruding into the uterine cavity.

4. When there is a lot of bleeding during surgery and the field of vision is unclear, the water inlet pressure of the perfusion fluid can be adjusted to be higher than the arterial pressure to increase the flow rate. When the outlet pipe is connected to the negative pressure aspirator, negative pressure will be caused, accelerating the circulation of the perfusion fluid and speeding up the operation. After most myomas are removed, the uterus contracts and bleeding naturally decreases.

5. After the complete removal of the sessile submucosal myoma, the uterus contracts, the tumor bed closes, and the remaining myoma capsule floats in the uterine cavity in a grayish-white flocculent state, which then disappears naturally without the need for forced removal.

6. A small amount of bleeding and discharge is normal within 2 months after surgery.

7. Abstain from sexual intercourse for 2 months.
