What are the symptoms of cervical erosion? If you have cervical erosion, you will find these symptoms

The first symptom of female patients with cervical erosion is abnormal vaginal discharge. In fact, cervical erosion is not a disease, but a migration of columnar cells that occurs with hormone changes. The outward movement of columnar cells leads to increased secretions. At the same time, during sexual intercourse, there may be contact bleeding. Severe cervical erosion can also affect pregnancy.

In our daily life, gynecological diseases are the most common for women, and cervical erosion is one of them. Many female friends are troubled by cervical erosion. For mild cervical erosion, the symptoms are mild and it is easy for women to ignore it, which will make the condition more serious. So what are the symptoms of cervical erosion?
There is squamous epithelium on the periphery of the cervix. When the squamous epithelium is displaced from the columnar epithelium outside the cervix, it manifests as cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is a normal physiological phenomenon caused by hormones. Because the color of the female cervix is red, it looks like eczema-like skin erosion, so this phenomenon is called "cervical erosion". In fact, there is no real erosion there. It is just because of the hormonal effect that the squamous epithelium outside the cervix and the columnar epithelium inside the cervix are displaced at the junction. Because the columnar epithelium is thin, when the columnar epithelial cells are more exposed, the blood vessels below will be exposed, and the color will appear red.
Because the degree of cervical erosion varies from patient to patient, the symptoms are different. Some women may have blood in their leucorrhea, but this phenomenon is not common. Moreover, studies have found that mild cervical erosion is also related to menstruation, which may lead to delayed menstruation and no menstruation. Symptoms of mild cervical erosion are usually accompanied by increased vaginal discharge, yellowish color, stickiness and odor.
Cervical erosion can also occur in the vulva or vagina, leading to increased vaginal secretions and thus causing vaginitis, with patients experiencing symptoms of vulvar itching and pain. When the inflammation is severe, it can spread along the uterine ligaments and cardinal ligaments and cause inflammation of the pelvic connective tissue, causing pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, accompanied by a feeling of falling. If the inflammation spreads to the cardinal ligament, symptoms of pain during sexual intercourse may occur. Patients with inflammation of cervical erosion may involve the area around the bladder, leading to difficulty urinating. The increase in vaginal secretions affects the ability of sperm to penetrate, so it will affect pregnancy in patients with severe cervical erosion.
