Comparison of three surgical methods for Bartholinitis

Expert introduction: There are many ways to treat Bartholinitis, and surgery is the most effective treatment. There are three main surgical methods for Bartholinitis. Here we will introduce the surgical treatments for Bartholinitis so that you can compare their respective characteristics. I hope it will be helpful to you.

Surgical methods for Bartholinitis

Method 1: Laser surgery for Bartholinitis

Laser surgery includes cystostomy and cystectomy. Ostomy is suitable for larger cysts and recurrent acute attacks, while excision is suitable for cysts with infection. For larger cysts, the lowest point is selected to cut the skin with laser focus to remove the contents of the cyst, and the drainage port is cleaned and changed every day. Laser surgery has obvious effects and quick recovery.

Method 2: Bartholinitis resection

Resection is to remove the enlarged Bartholin's gland. The operation is strictly performed according to routine disinfection and sterile dressing. The laser is focused along the dermatoglyphics to cut the skin, without cutting the cyst wall. The incision is expanded with a retractor, and the laser output power is adjusted according to the situation of the incision into the cyst wall to gradually peel off the cyst wall. After flushing the residual carbonized tissue in the wound with sterile saline, the retractor is removed and sutured from the inside to the outside, leaving no dead cavity and the patient feels no discomfort. After surgery, auxiliary antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs and multi-cluster vitamin preparations are used to provide supportive treatment for those with poor physical fitness.

Method 3: Local treatment

If an abscess has formed, it should be immediately incised and drained and a stoma should be made. The incision should be made at the thinnest part of the skin, on the inner side of the labia majora, to drain the pus. Or after fully disinfecting the vulva, use a larger needle to pierce the abscess cavity from the mucosal side, suck out the pus, and then inject 200,000 to 320,000 units of gentamicin or 200,000 to 400,000 units of penicillin.

The surgical methods for Bartholin's gland inflammation are introduced here. Some healthy female friends must take precautions. Keeping the vulva clean is the main way to prevent infection. If you feel any discomfort in your body, please go to the hospital for examination in time.
