Symptoms of cervicitis erosion

Symptoms of cervicitis erosion

Cervicitis is a common disease in women of childbearing age. There are two types: acute and chronic. Acute cervicitis often coexists with acute endometritis or acute vaginitis, but chronic cervicitis is more common. The main manifestation is increased leucorrhea, which is sticky mucus or purulent mucus, sometimes accompanied by or mixed with blood.

Long-term chronic mechanical stimulation is the main cause of cervicitis. For example, excessive sexual activity or habitual miscarriage, childbirth and artificial abortion can damage the cervix, leading to bacterial invasion and inflammation, or direct infection due to purulent bacteria, or high-concentration acidic or alkaline solutions to wash the vagina, or foreign objects placed or left in the vagina. Chronic cervicitis is often caused by pathogens invading and infecting the cervix after childbirth, abortion or surgery. Chronic cervicitis has many manifestations. Such as cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, cervical gland cysts, endocervicitis, etc., among which cervical erosion is the most common.

1. Acute cervicitis: increased leucorrhea, which is purulent, accompanied by low back pain and lower abdominal discomfort.

2. Chronic cervicitis: excessive leucorrhea, which is white, mucous or contains blood, or bleeding during sexual intercourse, accompanied by vulvar itching, lumbosacral pain, and aggravation during menstruation.

3. Cervicitis erosion. Signs: Acute cervicitis, gynecological examination, cervical congestion, edema, tenderness; chronic cervicitis, gynecological examination, cervical erosion of varying degrees, hypertrophy or polyps due to childbirth, abortion or surgical injury to the cervix. The main pathogens are Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and anaerobic bacteria, followed by gonorrhea and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

The protozoa of cervicitis erosion include Trichomonas and Ameba. In special cases, cervicitis erosion is caused by chemical substances and radiation.
