(ii) You need to rest for 2 weeks after the operation. Generally, you should rest in bed for 3-5 days. (III) Keep the vulva clean and hygienic. For a period of time after an artificial abortion, the wound on the endometrium has not yet recovered, the cervical opening is relaxed, the original mucus plug in the cervix (which has the function of preventing bacteria from entering the cervix) has been removed, and a new mucus plug has not yet formed. If you do not pay attention to the hygiene of the vulva at this time, bacteria in the vagina can easily enter the cervix and cause infection. Therefore, keep the vulva clean and hygienic after an artificial abortion.

(IV) Seek medical attention promptly if there are any abnormalities. After the placenta is detached during artificial abortion, the wound left on the uterine wall may bleed a little. In this case, as the uterus contracts and the wound heals, vaginal bleeding generally stops in 3-5 days, and no longer than 10-15 days. If the amount of vaginal bleeding exceeds the amount of menstrual blood and lasts for too long, you need to seek medical attention promptly.

(V) Contraception is required after the operation. After artificial abortion, the ovaries will resume ovulation in about one month, and then menstruation will come. Therefore, as long as you resume sexual life after artificial abortion, you must take contraceptive measures to avoid getting pregnant again.
