Sea salt hot compress therapy is effective in treating adnexitis

Sea salt hot compress therapy is effective in treating adnexitis

Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of adnexitis emphasizes internal regulation and external nourishment. On the basis of internal Chinese medicine conditioning, a large amount of sea salt can be used for direct hot compress therapy.

1. Direct hot compress method

Direct hot compress is to put the bag of sea salt directly into the microwave to heat it, then wrap the bag with a towel and apply it directly to the affected area, twice a day, and each time the continuous hot compress time is 30 minutes to 60 minutes.

2. Precautions for direct hot compress

First, when heating in the microwave, you can spray water on the bag with a spray bottle or wet the bag with your hands before heating, but do not add water to the sea salt.

Secondly, the heating time of microwave ovens varies slightly in different seasons. For example, in summer, you can heat it on medium heat for 3 minutes or on high heat for 2 minutes. In spring, autumn, and winter, the heating time should be relatively longer, that is, on medium heat for 4 minutes or on high heat for 3 minutes. The temperature should be slightly hot to the touch.

Again, the time for each hot compress is cumulative. If the temperature drops during this period, the sea salt bag can be repeatedly placed in the microwave to heat it.

Finally, patients who use sea salt hot compress therapy in the early stages may experience small particles in the microwave after the sea salt is heated. This is mainly because the sea salt vaporizes too strongly and crystallizes with the steam due to hot and humid weather, excessive watering, and lack of experience in initial use of microwave ovens. There is no need to worry. You can put the sea salt bag in the sun to dry before heating it, or wrap the sea salt bag in a plastic bag when heating it.
