Will pelvic effusion lead to less menstruation? What are the dangers?

Pelvic effusion is a late stage of gynecological diseases, often caused by the development and deterioration of other gynecological inflammatory diseases. So, will pelvic effusion lead to less menstruation? What are the dangers?

In fact, pelvic effusion will not cause scanty menstruation. There are many reasons for scanty menstruation, such as endocrine disorders, gynecological inflammation, changes in mental environment, cold, anemia, etc. In addition, it may be due to the endometrium itself, such as endometrial tuberculosis causing endometrial lesions or artificial abortion, curettage causing thin endometrium, etc. Long-term scanty menstruation may cause amenorrhea or infertility.

Pelvic effusion is a disease that can cause many harms to female patients clinically, as follows:

1. Feeling of falling, pain in the lower abdomen and lumbar sacral region

The main symptoms are a feeling of falling, pain on one or both sides of the lower abdomen, scar adhesions caused by chronic inflammation, and pelvic congestion, which lead to lower abdominal distension, pain, and lumbar pain. It is often more severe after fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation.

2. Decreased immunity

The systemic symptoms of pelvic effusion are mostly not obvious, sometimes with low fever and fatigue. Some patients with a long course of illness may have symptoms of neurasthenia, such as lack of energy, general discomfort, insomnia, etc. When the patient's resistance is poor, it is easy to have acute or subacute attacks.

3. Menstrual disorders

Patients with pelvic congestion may have increased menstruation; when ovarian function is damaged, there may be menstrual disorders; when the fallopian tubes are blocked by adhesions, it may cause female infertility.

4. Infertility

Infertility is the most common symptom of pelvic effusion. If pelvic inflammatory disease causes blockage of the fallopian tubes, infertility will occur. Clinical examination found that the patient's uterus was retroverted, uterine activity was restricted, or adhesions occurred.

As mentioned above, pelvic effusion will not lead to a decrease in menstrual volume, but it will lead to lower abdominal pain, decreased resistance, menstrual disorders and infertility. Female friends should pay great attention to this disease and seek timely treatment.
